The tour starts with the meeting point with our guide. The first stop is at the sacred rock of the Acropolis to admire the Parthenon, the temple built in honor of the goddess Athena, protector of the city of Athens. We continue with the Erechtheion, an ancient temple also on the rock of the Acropolis as well as the temple of Athena Nike. Our tour includes some more important sights of the city of Athens such as the theater of Dionysos, which is considered the first theater in the world.
Then we will visit the ancient market and the Acropolis museum to admire these historical exhibits.
Next stop, the temple of Olympian Zeus and then the changing of the euzones guard at the Constitution and Parliament of the Hellenes.
Our tour will continue with a walk to the Panathenaic stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro, where in ancient times it was used for holding part of the Panathenaic Games in honor of the goddess Athena. Next stop Monastiraki and Plaka area.
Leaving downtown we'll drive out for the city and admire the Athens Riviera (Athens coastal) until we reach the Sounio area (temple of Poseidon). Temple of Poseidon was part of the Sacred Triangle (including the Temple of Aphaia in Aegina and the Parthenon in Athens). The Temple of Poseidon is an ancient Greek temple on Cape Sounion, dedicated to the god Poseidon.
On our way we will pass through some of Athens’s resorts areas (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Lagonisi), where you can have a break for lunch or coffee.
